Political
- Porfirio Diaz was the dictator of Mexico after the Mexican Revolution of 1910.Pancho via lead peasants and other bands in guerrilla movements to try to over throw the dictatorship.
- Francisco Madero was going to run against Porfirio Diaz and wanted a democratic political reform to lift social tensions and have the government economy develop.
- Diaz did not like this so he had Madero arrested.
- In Brazil a questioned election resulted in a brief civil war in 1929.
- Vargas started a more centralized government. He opposed Germany and the Western powers in hope of advantageous trading agreements.
- In 1935 Coups were held by communists and in 1937 they were held by the green shirt fascist integralists.

- The world banking crisis of 1907 did not allow many of Latin American countries to get there needed resources and capital.
- The First World War affected Latin America's economy. Countries are forced to make their own food and supplies and materials that they would otherwise get from other countries. They were unable to trade due to the war going on.
- Brazil’s economy exports coffee, Peru exports agricultural products, while in Argentina industry grew along with the number of workers.
- Markets for Argentinian products went down due to lack of foreign investment.
- After the First World War inflation cause work wages to decline.

Religion

- The Roman Catholicism is the dominant religion in Latin America today.
- It was brought to Latin America by the Spaniards during the Spanish Inquisition and still stands today.
- There are still 40 million people that live in Latin America that have different religions other than Catholicism.

Society
Society
- The after World War I women still had to face inequalities in the workplace and politics.
- Women was still not allowed to vote in some countries like Ecuador and Brazil. Women did not gain the right to vote in Ecuador until 1929 and in Brazil until 1932.
- Women still had the lower wages than men joining labor unions and women became a big part of the labor force.
- Indian populations in Latin America makeup many of the cultural aspects and influence much of Latin American culture

Innovation, Intellectual, Inventions
- The most of the scientific innovation where acquired through trade and borrowing from other countries.
- Industrialization boosted economies and as factories grew also did urbanization.
- The exhaustion of Natural Resources continues to increase.

Arts and Architecture
Arts and Architecture
- Popular dances such as a tango originated from Argentina while the Samba began in Brazil which was influenced by African culture. The salsa began in the Caribbean.
- Art was a big part in Latin America especially in Brazil has a modern art week in Sao Paulo.
- Most of the artwork and literature focuses on the poor conditions of poverty and of starvation that many of the citizens had to face.

Near Geography
Near Geography
- Latin America is located on the Western Hemisphere mostly below the equator.
- The main countries included Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and many more.
- Urbanization in these countries caused many people to come and join the country.
- The Amazon rain forest is also located in Latin America in particular Brazil
